If your company’s survival was at risk would you 'fake it until you make it' or would you call in an expert to help you get there?

Our Methods

We begin with you: who you are and what you do, who your stakeholders and clients are, the problem and its impact, what happened before the incident and future needs. We have a portfolio of bespoke, trauma-informed services to stabilize and support your workplace in moving forward after initial response measures and as impact unfolds.

On-site critical incidents leave ‘hot spots’ that typically go unrecognized and can be corrosive to progress. We’ll help identify those for you and provide recommendations for managing them.

Emergency Debriefing

We provide trauma informed debriefing following events that have disrupted the workplace and is considered a crisis by those impacted both directly and indirectly. Debriefing is not therapy. It’s about facilitating conversations for

  • Finding language for what has happened

  • Understanding the impact to you and others

  • Closing empathy gaps and building social capital amongst stakeholders and leadership

  • Psycho-social education relevant to the immediate moment

  • A starting place to move forward with a strengthened connection to co-workers

Debriefing is effective not just in the immediate but at any point in the aftermath where there has been insufficient resolution of the event- even years later. Debriefing can be facilitated in group and one-on-one formats, onsite or virtually.

Strategic Advisement, Consulting & Training

In 1597 Sir Francis Bacon wrote "Knowledge itself is power". It is critical for those within HR and leadership positions to make decisions and craft policies based on accurate information in alignment with the realities of how human beings respond in the wake of a disruptive event.

We provide trauma informed strategic advisement, consulting, psycho-social education and training for all levels of an organization.

Curriculums are: based on a preliminary Needs Discovery, tailored to the attendees, their roles and respective challenges. Training includes didactic and interactive formats, delivered in groups or one-on-one sessions.

Coaching

Coaching is used as an adjunct to training and professional skill development or as a stand alone support service for well-being issues following disruptive events or transitions for both private and organizational clients.

Sessions are structured around the participant’s challenges. Trauma informed practices are used with targeted goals discussed and agreed upon at the out set.

For organizational coaching, pre and post measurements taken, with reporting on learning, behavioral change, value brought to the organization and progress with performance disruptors.

Homework assignments provide continuity and development in between sessions and are reviewed during coaching. Coaching is virtual, delivered by Zoom or phone in group settings or 1:1.

Retreat Facilitation

A change in geography (physically or virtually) creates an intentional space for reflection and creation, removing distraction, interruptions and task completion pressures to work on challenging issues or aspirational goals.

Retreats are particularly effective at closing empathy deficits, building community and social capital, allowing for safe and open dialogue that could not comfortably occur within the workplace environment or a venue where a disruptive event occurred.

Retreats are helpful for taking a positive 'time out' to decompress, constructively ventilate, discern, discover and rebuild.

We are seasoned at facilitating gatherings for sponsoring discussions on sensitive and consequential issues. We intentionally include reinforcements to combat the ‘forgetting factor’ so good work accomplished during the Retreat can continue.

How to Begin?

There’s no such thing as a cookie-cutter disruptive event so we don’t believe in offering cookie-cutter solutions. Our work is customized to who you are and what your challenges are, now and in the foreseeable future.

We’ll conduct a Needs Discovery and then reconvene with our recommendations to co-create a solution with you, in real-time, resulting in an approach that meets your needs.
